Research has shown that early childhood physical education improves more than just physical wellness, It also assists and improves mental and emotional development in children. The earlier physical education is taught, sooner children begin to develop the ability to think critically.
We have integrated, yoga, music and movement and physical fitness classes with our curriculum. We implement age appropriate lesson plans that will help our children develop core strength, balance and gross motor ability.
******So, what is so important about that? Current educational research shows that the more children are able to move, the more they are able to improve their academic performance.
******Why? Because building core strength through exercise and physical education activity enables a child to have the posture to sit up at a table or on the floor during circle time. They are better able to attend and learn if their bodies allow them to have "postural stability"
******So, we start early and encourage our children to understand the importance of staying fit and eating healthy.
