Children at Leap Years are assured of getting the care that they need, the creative learning experiences they enjoy, and the intellectually challenging opportunities they deserve. Our approach is based on the established Montessori program. However, in contrast to most schools we have gone beyond by innovating and incorporating contemporary ideas to make the learning more meaningful to the child. Leap Years bring the knowledge from early learning experts around the world to your child.
At Leap Years, we understand how important the early years are to both you and your child. This is a time of remarkable growth, when children are experiencing rapid development, learning new skills, and progressing steadily towards physical, intellectual, and social-emotional milestones. Our child centred curriculum is structured to allow freedom to the child, encourage creativity and enables us to guide the child as they explore and learn. The entire focus is on experiential learning for the child.
USE THIS LEARNING CENTER GUIDE TO EXPLORE EXAMPLES OF HOW WE PROGRESSIVELY SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF A CHILD’S SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE THROUGHOUT THE YEARS.
We believe in specific subject learning centres in contrast to the traditional classroom setting. This encourages movement and helps the child to initiate exploration and theories leading to cognitive development. Children are natural enthusiastic learners not meant to sit still while learning. Each area contains only the essentials that allow children to control and create. The purpose of the area is clear and understandable to children. The teacher’s job is to observe, listen, ask question and show what to do when help is needed. The curriculum at Leap Years is driven by the passion to help lay a foundation on which the child can eventually become an independent learner and happy individual.
